Celebrate spring by crocheting realistic tulips! These beauties can be used to make lasting bouquets to decorate your home, give as gifts, or even wear. We will use the Tulips pattern by June Gilbank of PlanetJune (included in the class fee), which has a very clever one-piece construction - no seaming required. This is a great small project to learn or practice amigurumi skills.

Prerequisites

This is NOT an absolute beginner class. Please be aware that class time will not be spent on reteaching the aforementioned prerequisites.
Homework: Gather supplies needed before class start.

Supplies to Bring
- DK or worsted weight yarn in desired flower color plus a small amount of yellow for flower center. Class samples were made with Cascade Elysian and Cascade Noble Cotton Hand Dyed. This is a great use for scraps or mini skeins
- US E/3.5 mm crochet hook
- Locking stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Stems are optional and can be made with yarn-wrapped bamboo skewers (as in class samples) or thin dowels, floral wire, pipe cleaners, or crochet chains.

Julie learned to crochet and knit as a child, and has been dedicated to fiber arts for more than 15 years as an adult. She especially loves knitting sweaters and crocheting amigurumi. She is a mom of three, and her children have given her many new ideas for projects. She loves to share her knowledge and see people take pride in their new skills!
